Please note that under national law claims about acupuncture need to reference scientific evidence.
Traditionally acupuncture has been used to assist a wide variety of conditions.
As researchers study acupuncture, they discover more evidence for its efficiency.
For any clarification of scientific evidence, please view the Acupuncture Evidence Project.
What is Acupuncture?
Acupuncture treatment has been practiced for thousands of years in China and other Asian countries and more recently all around the world.
Acupuncture treatment involves the insertion of fine, sterile needles into specific sites and areas (acupuncture points) along the body’s surface to bring about the required changes in the individual.
As a Health Professional, I also help people to make lifestyle changes, some as simple as posture alignment.
I like to check in with my patients to see how everything is going in their life and health, and proceed to give them a personalised Acupuncture treatment that addresses their concerns.
Every treatment is unique, as no two people are exactly the same
I look forward to providing you with a relaxing and supportive environment while undergoing treatment.
What is health?
If you were to take the Webster’s Dictionary definition it would be defined as follows:
Health: a state of being free from illness and injury
While this may seem to sum it up for most of us, I would like to offer up another, shorter one:
To feel empowered means to enjoy the ability to change any aspect of your life.
The first condition, which must be met in order to achieve this, is self-knowledge.
Knowing when we feel ill or well is fairly evident to all of us, but knowing how to stay well is beyond many.
There are many tools that can be used to achieve health and stay healthy including Acupuncture, Therapeutic Zen Shiatsu, Massage, Mediation, Mindfulness, Medical Qigong, Sound Therapy and Yoga (including Corrective Exercises).
It is through the use of these modalities that I help others achieve empowerment.
